Want to join me in making a difference? I'm sponsoring a fundraiser for the Friends of Mineral County Emergency Services (FOMCES a 501c3 Corp) to help build a Command Center for Search and Rescue. Donations are deductible and any donation will help make an impact.
Mineral County has the second smallest number of residents of any Country in Colo. Seven hundred and twelve people live in the county. Creede is the only town in Mineral County and is the County Seat. Mineral county is very mountainous with 95% public lands. The Search and Rescue (they are all volunteers) need a new Comand Center to operate out of. The facility will have a room for the Command Center, a room for training and space to house all of their vehicles and equipment plus a fire truck to shorten response time for residences in the county. SAR has the land, with utilities, on the North side of the Airport to build on. They now share office space with the sheriff department and there equipment is scattered every where . When you get lost or injured in the Mineral County Mountains these Volunteers will find you and rescue you, possibly saving you life. These Volunteers preform a very important function in Mineral County and need our support for this building project. Thanks in advance for your contribution. Please share this link.
